Investment of approx. 1 million euros in production lines for large-volume vials made of tubular glass
Published: Wednesday, 13 December 2017 11:45
Müller + Müller strengthens its fleet of 45 production machines in the field of large-volume vials made of tubular glass.
The investment includes an additional line and a complete refurbishment and modernisation of an existing line. This will enable the company to respond even more individually and above all more flexibly to customer enquiries for large-volume tubular glass bottles. In machine and line construction, the latest findings from Müller + Müller's own operating technology and that of our long-standing partners have been incorporated. The focus was on minimizing glass-to-metal contacts and guiding the vials as gently as possible through the process. In addition, the latest findings from the flame and forming stations are used to manufacture sophisticated bottles, such as those with complex threads, and also to guarantee the highest possible process stability.
If you have any questions about large-volume vials made of clear or amber glass up to a diameter of approx. 34mm, please contact our sales department. We are looking forward to your inquiries!

Comissioning of new siliconization line for vials
Published: Wednesday, 27 January 2016 11:45
The construction of an ultramodern siliconization line with connected clean room and an additional warehouse for packaging material is completed.
The new siliconization line is the result of excellent teamwork and represents a consistent step in the further development of the company Müller + Müller. This investment underscores the clear focus of the company on "pharmaceutical vials". Müller + Müller is proud to offer customers a broad and quality-oriented portfolio within the field of tubular glass vials for pharmaceuticals.
With the construction of the new siliconization line Müller + Müller will quadruple its output quantity for siliconized pharmaceutical glass vials. The vials undergo an ultrasonic bath wash, external/internal washing and a spraying unit for the inner surface silicone treatment. Immediately after the siliconization unit, the vials are handed over into a drying tunnel. The packaging takes place in a clean room class 8 in accordance with ISO 14644.
The high precision of the ultramodern siliconization line in combination with a thoughtful quality policy allows an optimal siliconization with minimal silicon in the glass vials.

Müller + Müller constructs a new production hall, covering an area of 465 square meters, for an ultramodern siliconization process for glass vials and a new packaging and pallet storage. The topping-out ceremony for the new production hall took place in July.
With the construction of the new siliconization line Müller + Müller will quadruple its output quantity for siliconized pharmaceutical glass vials. Silicone treatment is a proven method for the internal coating of glass surfaces in the pharmaceutical sector. The inner siliconization of the glass vial ensures optimal emptying of the vial through its hydrophobic properties. In addition, it prevents products from sticking to the internal surface of the glass vials giving the glass a perfect transparency. The most modern siliconization process at Müller + Müller will ensure best possible results with a reduced amount of silicon in the glass vial and takes place in a clean room class 8 in accordance with ISO 14644-1.

Müller + Müller celebrates its 90th anniversary
Published: Wednesday, 31 December 2014 13:00
The story of Müller + Müller started in 1924 in the Thuringian Forest. Two brothers and their cousin had the idea and the courage to establish Müller + Müller. In the beginning glass bottles were formed with the bellows for the confectionery and beverage industry. At this time the company had already grown into a reputable operation. Due to the Second World War and the GDR the company got expropriated in 1945. Nevertheless, Albin and Hermann Müller never gave up. They had the idea to develop an automated production line for glass vials. First construction plans for such a production line were already drawn on wrapping paper during captivity in the Second World War. In 1949 they settled in Holzminden and founded the company Müller + Müller. In these days, the first production line for tablet glass vials consisted of an old bedstead, bicycle chains and gears. The company grew slowly but steadily. Karl-Heinz Müller was the second generation in the family business who lead the company from 1949 to 1999. The company Müller + Müller is his lifetime achievement.
